Ext4 your starting to rub me the wrong way

Just found out last night my server has crashed, what was the cause?  My root partition, which had a ext4 filesystem, somehow corrupted on me.  What made it corrupt is still unknown, yes I am investigating it...  Recovery is underway, but may end up having to redo the partition.

I went with ext4 do to speed advantages over ext3, but I never had a problem like this before with ext3.  A filesystem like jfs is starting to look good right about now.

On a lighter side I just got a complement on my Nexus One.

Internet Memes Timeline

Here is a interesting thing that I happened to stumble upon, someone has taken the time to put together a interactive timeline of internet memes including details about it, the pictures or videos for them and the date that the meme started. http://www.dipity.com/tatercakes/Internet_Memes this could be a great resource for anything that wants to brush up on their Internet Memes or need to know when a meme started.

Police shoot U.S. student's laptop upon entry to Israel - Haaretz - Israel News

Sussman;s destroyed laptop.

Israel Border Police officers shot at an American student's laptop as she entered Israel via Taba, Egypt, two weeks ago.

Lily Sussman, 21, wrote on her blog that border police subjected her to two hours of questioning and searches prior to shooting her Apple Macbook three times.

"They had pressed every sock and scarf with a security device, ripped open soap and had me strip extra layers. They asked me tons of questions," Sussman wrote, describing the experience.

I think they are taking "security" a bit ti far, but then again this tops anything the TSA is doing by a long shot.

Google released their own programming Language called Go

Google has recently released their own programming language under the BSD license called Go.  It is free and open source, as well as combines the advantages of compiled and interpreted languages.  The only downside currently is that it only runs on Linux and Mac.
